FAQ & Policies

CARE AND CLEANING OF YOUR JEWELRY:
Please treat your new jewelry with gentle common sense, and remove before showering, sauna, or water activities. Chemicals can damage your jewelry, and water intrusion behind transparent stones can impact the look and longevity of your pieces. Avoid drops on hard surfaces. Silver and other metal jewelry including my antique French steel beaded necklaces will store best in air-tight containers away from moisture and humidity. Ziploc bags are not glamorous, but work very well to significantly slow the natural oxidation process. A polishing cloth pre-charged with a fine polishing compound can be used to buff the surface of silver and other metal, avoiding stones and purposeful patina where possible. Hydrophane opals such as Ethiopian Welo opals are water-containing and will absorb water and oils which can dull their iridescence, but also avoid leaving them open to sun and dry conditions since this can cause crazing if they dry out. Generally, storage out of hot conditions and direct light in a ziploc or airtight container should be sufficient.
REPAIRS:
If you have a damage or breakage issue with your jewelry and need repair, please contact me. I will always do repairs free of charge if your jewelry fails under normal wear. For damage beyond normal wear, depending on the extent of damage and missing parts, if I think I can fix it, there would be fees for part replacement and labor in that case. I am not able to offer repair or resizing on jewelry that I didn't make.

CUSTOM ORDER POLICIES:
I take custom orders selectively when I have the time, generally small variations on existing designs, so feel free to inquire.

ABOUT RING SIZING:
I am not currently able to resize most of my rings, but if you see a design you love, please feel free to inquire about my making you a similar custom ring in your size. For custom ring orders - it's important we know your correct size, and I use several industry charts and digital caliper measurements to achieve accurate size standards in your finished ring. For wide bands, I recommend ordering 1/4 to 1/2 size larger than your normal size in a thinner band, since they will feel more snug. If you are at all unsure of your ring size, I recommending having it checked at a local jeweler for both narrow and wide bands. This is much more reliable than printed paper cutouts. Finishing a ring to your specific size is considered a non-refundable custom order unless discussed otherwise.

WHOLESALE INQUIRIES:
At this time I'm not currently wholesaling or consigning, but I may in the future if you have a brick and mortar store and would like to check back.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
I gladly accept returns and exchanges on jewelry that is in new condition. Please contact me within 7 days of delivery if you aren't happy with your jewelry for any reason for return instructions, and ship in protective packaging within 14 days. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and I recommend purchasing insurance, as I cannot be responsible for a package which is lost on its way back to me. A full refund of your purchase price will be issued on receipt of the jewelry.
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS CANNOT BE RETURNED OR EXCHANGED:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Marked down sale items
  • Items damaged by the customer
